    2025 Houndslake Swim Team Season

Happy spring to all our Houndslake families!

Thank you to everyone for your patience as we readied everything for the upcoming swim season. Despite several details causing delays, the registration is now open and available on our website.
    Some changes to note:
The CSRA League voted to shorten our league's season to only 3 regular season meets. This change brings lots of mixed feelings for all involved and was a contentious subject among all the swim teams in the league. Ultimately, the votes were counted and the schedule will stand as is.
The South Carolina teams in the league have agreed to jointly host a divisional meet with the four teams on this side of the river. Fermata, Hammond Hills, Houndslake, and Woodside will join together to compete. While we're in different divisions, this meet will give us the chance to have a meet that feels more like an old-fashioned "championship" competition while getting to race against our friends and neighbors. Look for more information as the season draws closer.

Lastly, we're welcoming back some old faces as our coaching staff. Susie Adams will return as Head Coach, fresh from her success coaching South Aiken High, where she took the men's team to a state championship and earned the award of Swim Coach of the Year. Assistant coach, Ezra Marks is returning once again to work with the Hounds. You knew him last year as Esther. While his name may have changed, everything you loved about him as a coach from last year is exactly the same. If your child appreciated Coach E's work last year, they will receive the exact same dedication this season. New this year on the staff will be Caroline Johnston and Foster Emerling. Caroline and Foster have been junior coaches for several years, volunteering their time to help with younger swimmers. This will be their first year as full-time staff.

Houndslake has always been a big swim-family, and we can't wait to have our big swim reunion on the first day of practice. We will also host a kick-off meeting on April 30th at the patio outside the pool. Check out our calendar page for more information.2025 Calendar

Should you have any questions, please send us an email at houndslakeswimteam@gmail.com. Please remember that we are a volunteer-run organization, so the email account may not be checked every day until we return to the pool for the season. Your patience is greatly appreciated, as we juggle our work, family, and volunteer obligations. If you're interested in joining the board, there are positions available so please let us know!

We look forward to seeing you soon!
