Coach Susie is originally from England and has been involved with swimming her whole life. She swam on a team when she was in school and has competed in triathlons as an adult. She has been involved in Houndslake Swim Team for 19 years--first as a parent volunteer, then as a board member, and now as a coach. Susie also coaches South Aiken High's Swim Team.
Caroline, who will graduate from Mead Hall this May, has been swimming for Houndslake since 2012. While this is her first year as an assistant coach, Caroline has been a volunteer coach since 2019.
Caroline swims year-round for the Southern Tide Swim Club. She was a member of the 2019 and 2022 South Carolina Zone Teams. She is a 2x Speedo Sectional qualifier, and a 9x South Carolina Swimming State qualifier. As a member of Mead Hall's Varsity Swim Team, Caroline served as captain for two years, earned an accumulated seven individual state titles, and has been nominated to the SCISA All State Swim Team for 6 years straight.
In the fall, Caroline plans to study environmental science with a focus in pre-law at Sewanee: The University of the South, where she'll also join the Varsity Swim & Dive Team.
When not at the Houndslake pool, you can find Caroline tanning, lifeguarding, or playing volleyball at the beach with her friends.
Aaron has been swimming for Houndslake Swim Team for 12 years, since he was 5 years old competitively. He has also swam for Southern Tide Swim Club and South Aiken Swim Team for 3 years. In his 3 years on South Aiken’s State Team he has gotten 2 state championship rings. Aaron volunteered as a junior coach for his first time last year. He currently attends Aiken Scholars Academy as a junior. When Aaron is not in or around a pool, you can find him golfing in Woodside, hanging with friends, or playing video games.
