Welcome to Houndslake Swim Team
Founded in 1960 as Aiken Swim Association, generations of Aiken children have been diving into the pool as ASA Swimmers. Originally swimming out of the City of Aiken pool at Eustis Park, ASA competed around the state as a member of the Amateur Athletic Union. Eventually the team left the AAU to become one of the founding members of the CSRA Summer Swim League.
In the 1990's, we were offered a new home at the Houndslake Country Club, where we still swim today. Although proud to call ourselves the Hounds, we still maintain the name Aiken Swim Association as a way of honoring our past athletic alumni. We're grateful to be continuing this tradition for the next generation.
Our Goals
- Encourage developing swimmers to become confident in the water.
- Teach and improve the four basic competitive strokes.
- Encourage healthy competition through teamwork & sportsmanship.
